Keratin Method
This is a method of hot hair extension, in which springs are attached to the original hair using keratin. The artificially synthesized keratin is first melted at 180 to 200 °C. It is afterwards applied to springs that are attached to natural hair as close as possible to the roots. This application requires an experienced professional.
PROS
- suitable for women with a stronger hair structure
- strands are attached by special hot fusion heat iron
- with proper care, maintenance is needed every 10 to 12 weeks
- connections are less visible than Euro Locks
CONS
- not recommended for women with fine and thin hair
- creates unpleasant strands effect
- necessary to use special cosmetics
- hair length is shortened at each re-application
- new strands needed at each application
